Invariant is excited to welcome 18 fall interns. Our interns come from universities across the country and have unique backgrounds, previously interning with Capitol Hill offices, federal agencies, state judicial systems, and the corporate world. They will support the firm’s government relations, communications, and operations teams with coverage of Capitol Hill and the Administration, legislative and reporter research, materials development, people management, and event support — all while exploring the vibrant networking scene throughout DC. Meet the interns:

Nailah Chambers works with Invariant’s financial services and tax team. Nailah graduated from Spelman College with a bachelor’s degree in political science and French. She is pursuing a master’s degree in public administration at American University School of Public Affairs. Before joining Invariant, Nailah was an intern at the Federal Aviation Administration. She also worked as a congressional intern for Senator Chris Van Hollen (D-MD) and Rep. Steny Hoyer (D-MD). Nailah enjoys dancing, traveling, and spending time with family and friends.

Matthew Davison works with Invariant’s appropriations team. Matthew possesses a political science degree and recently graduated with a Master of Public Administration, both from the University of Georgia. Before joining Invariant, Matthew gained experience through congressional, local government, and federal relations internships. He also worked as the graduate assistant for the University of Georgia Washington Semester Program. Matthew enjoys jogging, college football, and listening to new music in his free time.

Savannah Flagg works with Invariant’s communications and public affairs team. Savannah graduated from Howard University in May with a bachelor’s degree in political science and a minor in Afro-American studies. Previously, Savannah was a Congressional Black Caucus Foundation communications intern for Rep. Steve Cohen (D-TN). She is an avid reader, loves to travel, and appreciates sharing cultural experiences with others.

Niccolò Gismondi works with Invariant’s communication and public affairs clients. Niccolò graduated from Columbia University and Sciences Po Paris with a dual bachelor’s degree in political science. Before joining Invariant, Niccolò was a strategy consulting intern at ReD Associates and a political fundraising intern at Dynamic SRG in New York City. While in France, he was president of the Reims city branch of the Young European Federalists, a nonpartisan group promoting European integration and democratization. Niccolò enjoys reading, traveling, and playing basketball.

Isabella Graf works with Invariant’s energy and environment clients. Isabella is a senior at the George Washington University pursuing a double major in political science and criminal justice. She is also the president of the Phi Alpha Delta Pre-Law Fraternity chapter. Before joining Invariant, Isabella was an intern in the office of Rep. Stephen Lynch (D-MA). She enjoys running, reading, and exploring DC.

Camryn Jackson works with Invariant’s technology and competition team. Camryn graduated from Dillard University with a bachelor’s degree in mass communications with a concentration in journalism and a minor in English. Camryn is a third-year law student pursuing a Juris Doctor at Southern University Law Center. Before joining Invariant, Camryn was a legal intern at the Louisiana Second Circuit Court of Appeal. She enjoys being a dog mom, listening to podcasts, singing, cooking, and working to create her podcast.

Ryley Kenyon works with Invariant’s operations team. She recently graduated from Wake Forest University in North Carolina with a bachelor’s in politics and international affairs and a minor in Spanish. Before working at Invariant, Ryley was an intern at Make-A-Wish Massachusetts and Rhode Island, assisting their operations team and senior management. She loves trying new restaurants, volunteering at Make-A-Wish and Planned Parenthood, and traveling in her free time.

Amy Lao works with Invariant’s health care team. She is a senior at the University of Florida pursuing a bachelor’s in economics and minors in mass communication and the sociology of social justice and policy. Before interning with Invariant, Amy was a research associate at the Trust for the National Mall and a development intern at the Kennedy Center with the National Symphony Orchestra. Amy volunteers as a piano teacher at the Sitar Arts Center and enjoys watching movies, cooking food from other cultures, and attending sports games.

Conor McCarty works with Invariant’s technology and competition clients. He is a first-year graduate student in the Master of Science in Foreign Service program at Georgetown University, where he plans to concentrate in global business, finance, and society. He completed his undergraduate education at Georgetown in May, majoring in international politics with a concentration in foreign policy and minoring in Spanish. Before joining Invariant, Conor interned with the State Department Office of United Nations Policy, the American Academy of Diplomacy, and the Office of Rep. David Trone (MD-06). He enjoys attending concerts, singing, and exploring DC’s museums in his free time.

Jackson McFadyen-Ray works with Invariant’s financial services team. Jackson is a graduate student at the University of Denver pursuing a master’s degree in global economic affairs with a concentration in financial services, central banking, and international trade. Jackson graduated with a bachelor’s degree from Colorado State University — Pueblo. Jackson first became involved in politics through campaigns and local government in Colorado and got his start in DC interning for Rep. Brittany Pettersen (D-CO). Outside of work, Jackson enjoys snowboarding, hiking, and sporting events.

Annabella Rosciglione works with Invariant’s communications and public affairs team. She graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Madison with a degree in journalism and a minor in global health. In college, she wrote for The Daily Cardinal reporting mainly on Wisconsin state politics, later serving as State News Desk editor and Features editor. Annabella most recently worked as the marketing coordinator for Clinilabs, a drug development corporation. Outside of work, Annabella enjoys writing, going for walks, and meeting new people.

Tiyanah Rowtham works with Invariant’s national security team. Tiyanah is a junior at the University of Georgia studying international affairs and political science. Before joining Invariant, Tiyanah worked as a canvasser with Rise Free, a student-led nonprofit organization. Tiyanah is primarily interested in wrongful convictions and criminal justice reform and hopes to attend law school upon graduation. In her free time, Tiyanah enjoys photography, reading, and volunteering.

Graham Roy works with Invariant’s food and agriculture team. Graham graduated from the George Washington University with a bachelor’s degree in political science and American studies and is pursuing a master’s degree in legislative affairs from the George Washington University Graduate School of Political Management. Before joining Invariant, Graham was an intern for Rep. Bill Pascrell’s (D-NJ) Washington office and 314 Action Fund. In addition to his interest in politics, Graham is the goaltender for the George Washington University’s ice hockey team and is an avid film buff.

Langston Shellist works with Invariant’s operations team. Langston graduated from the George Washington University with a bachelor’s degree in international affairs with a concentration in environmental studies and a minor in geography. Before joining Invariant, Langston worked in campaign finance on the Scott Goldberg for County Council campaign. Outside of work, he enjoys playing guitar, the daily crossword, and Chicago Cubs baseball.

Jason Toy works with Invariant’s transportation and infrastructure clients and consumer products clients. Jason graduated from Virginia Tech with a bachelor’s degree in history. Before joining Invariant, Jason was a government relations intern at Canopy Growth Corporation, a Canadian cannabis company. In his free time, he enjoys powerlifting and watching combat sports.

Sid Varanasi works with Invariant’s communications and public affairs team. Sid graduated from George Mason University with a bachelor’s in international studies and a minor in public affairs and communications. Before joining Invariant, Sid was a public relations and communications intern at Atlas Network and Seven Letter. He was also a communications assistant for several departments within George Mason University’s communications wing. Sid enjoys trying new cuisines, watching sports, and reading mystery novels.

Christian Von Rotz works with Invariant’s energy and environment clients. Previously, Christian worked on federal, congressional, and state political campaigns in North Carolina, Georgia, and Virginia. Christian was a legislative fellow with the Asian Pacific American Institute of Congressional Studies in the office of Rep. Bobby Scott (D-VA) and most recently worked as a communications manager for Virginia State Senator Scott Surovell (D-VA). Christian graduated from American University with a bachelor’s in international relations and a minor in political science. Christian enjoys trying new restaurants with friends, playing intramural sports, and spending quality time with his fiancé and their two cats.

Noah Zimmerman works with Invariant’s food and agriculture team. Noah graduated from the University of Michigan with a bachelor’s degree in history and political science and a minor in writing. Before joining Invariant, Noah interned with the US Department of Housing and Urban Development White House Liaison Office, Congressional and Government Affairs Office, and Multifamily Policy Office. He also worked in the New York State Assembly as a policy intern for his representative and on local, state, and federal campaigns. Noah loves to run, climb, hike, read, and watch the Wolverines dominate the Big Ten.
